Exactly one month till I fly home;
Less than 3 weeks till all projects are due.
The countdown begins!!
Okay, so I banned myself from posting on Facebook. I really didn't anticipate this 'need' for updating my status constantly. It's like a release for me, ya know? But I guess it's good thing, banning myself from Facebook. The lesser I stalk others, the more work I get done :D
So here I am, back on blogger because I need a channel to rant.
I really want a dog. Not those small yelp-y ones. The bigger and hairier it is, the better. Yeah yeah, I know some of you are gonna tell me that I'll regret it because it's gonna be expensive to feed it and tough cleaning up all the fur in the house. But I'm still getting one when I own my own place. I never had a dog as a kid, and I feel like I've missed out on some parts of my childhood. Plus, wouldn't it be soo nice to have something greet you at the door each time u come home and wag its tail at you. Oh, and to come when it's called. I bet most men wont be able to do that :P :p Okay, I'm wont be the husband-bashing kinda wife next time. I'm just saying dogs love so unconditionally!
How did I even get onto the topic of dogs? Oh yeah. My first aids course today. Our trainer was on the topic of snake bites and how to treat it blah blah blah. She went on to tell us about a time when her dog protected her family from a snake - a dugite I think? Apparently, this dog found a snake and had it in her mouth. Our trainer was yelling at her dog to drop it and when she did, the snake bit her on the nose. And so the dog had to be rushed to the vet and all.
The strange thing is, this dog would sleep at the door at our trainer's bedroom when she normally shares the bed with her owner. It's like she's was trying to protect her owner. Few days later, some family friends said they saw a snake in the house. Immediately, our trainer locked her dog in a room cause she didnt want her dog being bitten the second time. So they hunted for the snake for 4 hours but couldnt find it. Finally, our trainer concluded that the snake was no longer in the house, and released her dog. Immediately, that dog ran to some dark corner and started scratching at the walls. Turns out the snake was hiding there somewhere. And so the guys in the house killed the snake.
Apparently, Australia has the world's deadliest snakes (spiders too). I've never seen one in OZ, but when I heard about how many snake encounters my trainer and my coursemates had, I freaked out. I'm sooo getting a dog when I own a house.
Alright, end of rant. Back to work.
